Rappahannock County is a beautiful, pastoral county located about one hour west of Washington, D.C., in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. VA Route 211 passes directly through Rappahannock County, and leads to the Luray entrance of the Shenandoah National Park. Rappahannock has drawn many excellent artists, craftsmen and others to its beautiful vistas and peaceful valley.
