Mokos was the Goddess of the Earth worshipped by the ancient Slavs. As the only female God of note, Mokos assumed a broad range of divine roles. She was primarily a symbol of fertility of the earth and women, planting and harvest, and became the patron of women. Mokos oversaw childbirth, women's work such as spinning and weaving, and was a protector to flocks of sheep.
